Here is a book in which Orthodoxy is described as fully as possible: as the only religion that gives a true answer to the most important questions of human being. The Christian doctrine of our salvation from sin and death is concluded in the tradition, scripture and the sacraments of the Orthodox Church. Today, many mistakenly believe that the main thing in Orthodoxy is the observance of some rites and holidays, following certain traditions, which supposedly constitute the essence of faith. This book sets itself the task of showing Orthodoxy not just as a cultural tradition or a set of dogmas, but as a joyful news that from the moment of coming to the Earth of Jesus Christ, people have gained a way to salvation from death, suffering and slavery to evil. The reader learns not only about the deepest mystical sense of the sacraments and rites of the Church, but also the answers to the questions: who is a person and why he is called the “crown of creation”, how the human soul works and what forces act in it, what the “spiritual world” is, why We are born and die, what awaits us after death.
