The next volume of the collected works of Zhores and Roy of Medvedevs were the memoirs of Zhores Alexandrovich, completed by him shortly before death in November 2018, at the 93rd year of his life. The "dangerous profession" was reflected not only by the stages of their own biography of the famous dissident, biologist and writer (front, study, scientific work, human rights activity, psychiatric hospital, emigration), but almost the entire post -war history of the country. The reader will host a gallery of portraits of outstanding contemporaries and associates of the author (Nikolai Timofeev-Rresovsky, Vladimir Dudintsev, Petr Kapitsa, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Andrei Sakharov, Yuri Dombrovsky, Lidia Chukovskaya ..) A huge number of little -known (or even previously unknown) details are reported by the author about political events and figures, the formation in the USSR, first "economic independence from the capitalist environment", and then a "consumer society with a simplified economy and corruption at the highest level." The memories of Zhores Medvedev, of course, will become an important evidence of the era
