The textbook is intended for bachelors and masters studying in the direction of preparation "Reconstruction and restoration of architectural heritage", as well as for bachelors and masters of the direction of training "Theory and History of Arts".
In this textbook, in addition to the analysis of ideological sources, the prevailing worldview teaching and the cult dogmatic of world religions, the essential features of sacred architecture are examined in detail, starting from antiquity and ending with the Baroque era. Much attention is also paid to icon painting, sacred geometry, the complex symbolism of signs and ornaments that embody religious symbolism and have a significant impact on the development of construction technology and architectural structures of religious structures.
Course "Religious Architecture and History of World Religions" can be in demand by bachelors of architecture and religious studies, as it is designed to consider issues of interaction between religion and architecture.
