The eleventh volume of the series "Complete collection of the creations of the Holy Fathers of the Church and Church Writers in the Russian translation" is dedicated to the theological and moral-Ascetic heritage of St. John Cassian Roman (360-435) This volume contains dogmatic-sex ("about the embodiment of the Lord, against the Nestoria") and ascetic ("establishing general monasteries" and "interviews") creation.
The preface of the Metropolitan of the Omsk and Tauride Vladimir opens this edition. The application was placed in the work of Hieromonk (later Archbishop) Theodore Pozdeevsky (1876-1937), who was martynically affected by the persecution of Christ for Christ, "ascetic views of St. John Cassian (presbyter of the Massilian)" (Kazan, 1902)
The texts of the works of St. John Cassian Dana Danes in a new translation and equipped with theological, church-historical and textological comments. At the end of the book, a pointer of quotes from the Holy Scripture is placed, as well as a registered, subject and geographical pointers. The editors hopes that this publication will attract the attention of teachers and students of spiritual educational institutions and simply thoughtful Orthodox reader, who is not indifferent to the patristic heritage and its integral component - creations of St. John Cassian
