The oral memoirs of the writer Viktor Ardov (1900–1976) were recorded by philologist Viktor Duvakin in 1967 and 1974. Ardov talks about his great contemporaries: Vladimir Mayakovsky, Sergey Yesenin, Anna Akhmatova, Vsevolod Meyerhold, about early Soviet satirical magazines (including the famous Crocodile) and other important figures and phenomena of the 1920-1930s. With this publication, we continue the series, which we make together with the Oral History Foundation, working with a unique audio archive: we had previously published a book of conversations with Viktor Shklovsky
