Reprint from the publication. Petrograd, 1915. The readers are proposed to the book of the great English scientist Isaac Newton (1643-1727), in which he acts as a theologian, analyzing two biblical texts - the book of the prophet Daniel (part of the Old Testament) and the Apocalypse, or revelation. In addition to working on natural science problems and mathematical methods, Isaac Newton was seriously passionate about the ancient history and its comparison with biblical texts. In the work presented, he was looking for metaphors in biblical texts, trying to translate the figurative language of prophecies into the language of geography and history. The book of the Prophet Daniel reaches the futility of four consecutive monarchies (Babylonian, Persian, Macedonian, Roman), contains a foreshadowing of the coming God -man. Circulation 30 copies.
