Among the ten main Upanishad Chkhandogya stands out of its importance and grandeur. This commentary of Swami Krishnanda to Chkhandogya-Upanishad is one of the deepest studies of her philosophical and spiritual meaning that have ever been carried out. The book provides a commentary on the full parts of the V-VIII Upanishadi (including the instructions of the great Rishi Sanakumara), as well as a commentary on chapters 1-3 of part IV and to chapter 14 of part III, most important from the point of view of the commentator. Swami Krishnananda (1922-2001) is an outstanding student of Swami Shivananda, widely known in India and in the west of the teacher of Yoga, the founder of the "Society of Divine Life"
