Saint Theophan the Recluse (Govorov) (1815-1894) - Orthodox bishop, theologian, brilliant preacher, one of the greatest saints of the 19th century, who created the Russian church revival in his prayers and labors in the last century before the revolution. Thanks to the literary efforts of the saint, contemporaries got the opportunity to get acquainted with many monuments of Byzantine ascetic thought, and the complete works of Theophan the Recluse in different publications have more than forty volumes.
