The greatest Serb of the 20th century, St. Nicholas Serbsky (Velimirovich, 1860-1956) is certainly the most vivid and large-scale person in the latest history of the Balkans. Long before the official canonization (May 2003) prayedly revered in the entire Orthodox world, he was also given the most precious gifts of the Holy Spirit, who are generously poured on a worthy shepherd of Christ in the revelation of the flock and all the people, as well as these heavy people in these grave ones. And brutal times, the Lord reveals His mercy to us and sends us comfort in the person of the strong spirit of man of one with us flesh and blood. Saint Vladyka always believed that genuine love for God and ministry was unthinkable without a sincere appeal to the God -given values of national being, and believed in a special mission of Slavs, as well as that the example of the Orthodox Slavs would inspire and restore the fallen and scolded Europe, once loved The daughter of the Savior. In his attitude to Europe, there was a bold and performed by prophetic jealousy a feeling of uninhabited kinship and hope for the boundless mercy of God.
