Lashkarev Petr Aleksandrovich (1833–1899) - historian of church law and church architecture, lawyer, professor of the Kyiv Theological Academy and the University of Kyiv at the Department of Canon Law. In his work, he told about the basics of church law, its education and types, as well as about the monuments of church legislation and concluded how the legal structure of the Church corresponded to the needs of the historical life of society, starting from the period of the Ecumenical Councils and ending with the era of the separation of churches.
