This book is a brief presentation of the historical path of the Orthodox Church, numbering twenty centuries. The appeal to the historical experience of Orthodoxy can never be superfluous, since we ourselves are immersed in history and are part of it.
The modern being of the Orthodox Church is based on its historical experience. Orthodoxy is historically in its very essence, it is rooted in history: outside the historical context, it is impossible to understand the originality of the Orthodox Church, its dogmatic teaching and canonical structure, its liturgical system and social doctrine. Therefore, an appeal to history, to the origins has not only cognitive, but also educational, spiritual significance for us.
The book is addressed to a wide circle of readers, to everyone who is interested in Orthodoxy, stories of the church, historians, teachers, students of secular and spiritual educational institutions.
The publication was carried out with the assistance of general church graduate school and doctoral studies named after the Holy Equal -to -the -Apostles Cyril and Methodius.
