The spread of cholera epidemics in Russia took place contrary to quarantines and cordons, any efforts of the authorities to combat them only fierce the people, but were not “noticed” by the cholera itself. Doctors, as a rule, could not help the sick with anything, their ambulance and unusually painful death caused fear in society. There were neither families nor estates from which Cholera did not take away a number of lives then. Among scientists, the awareness of the failure of many views on the nature of infectious diseases and methods of their treatment grew. The young doctor of Henriti had to plunge into the very baked cholera epidemic. The first impressions of their stay in the cholera focus, apparently, crashed Henritsi in memory for life. Already being a mature person, he recalls many domestic details - expressions of people, their surname, etc. Subsequently, the doctor began to describe and keep the diary of each outbreak of an epidemic of cholera, whose witnessed. These bright, dramatic and frightening imagination memories formed the basis of the book
