Xi Di Rive is an American philosopher, translator of Plato and Aristotle. In addition to ancient philosophy, Rive is engaged in the philosophy of sex and love, which this book is dedicated to. Rive explores a wide range of topics and problems - sexual violence, sadomasochism, perversions, pornography - showing how our love ideas are born at their intersection.
