From ancient times, the church revered the holy martyr Uar. His representation is resorted to, asking for petitions about the health of babies and young children, as well as, and especially, asking for the facilitations of the fate of the souls of deceased relatives who were not spent in holy baptism, and babies who died in the womb of his mother or childbirth.
The brochure will be useful for everyone who has love and boldness to raise a prayer for the dead unbaptized relatives and loved ones. The proper attitude, with such a prayer, was shown by the Optinsky elder Leonid, advising his student to pray for his deceased father: “Say, Lord, the dead soul of my father, and, if possible, have to eat, have mercy! Do not put me in the sin of this prayer. But let your holy will be! ”
