The monograph considers the role of British churches in the socio-political life of the United Kingdom in the second half of the XIX-the first quarter of the XXI centuries. Due to the versatility of the topic, paramount attention is paid to the State Church of England. The reader will get acquainted with the "Golden Age" of churches, which covers the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries and marked by the contribution of the Christian clergy to the development of charity, the formation of school education and missionary activities in the colonial world.
