The commandments are the supporting points of Jewish Genesis, the execution of which, in fact, forms the lifestyle of a believing Jew. Therefore, it is so important to determine what exactly is included in the concept of commandments. By the chain of oral tradition, knowledge of their number was transmitted to us, however, neither in Tanya, nor in the Mishnah or Talmud, their list is given. Only a few versions of such a list have reached our time, but all of them surpassed the popularity and wide distribution of the book of the commandments of Rambam. In it, he sets out both the principles laid down on the compilation of the list and the formulation of the commandments themselves. Written by Rambam as a separate composition, the book of commandments, in essence, is the introduction to its epoch -making code "Mishnah Thor" and therefore is given at the beginning of all his publications
