This book was born almost by accident. I was intrigued by an obvious paradox: how the poem “Twelve” became perhaps the most important artistic text about the Great October Socialist Revolution. It was perceived so from the first day of its publication in March 1918 and continues to be perceived to this day. And today, a hundred years after the Blok left, the paradoxes of the famous poem remain unsolved. This book is another attempt to solve the most mysterious work in the history of all Russian poetry. With the help of the clue to Blok himself, who wrote: Art is monstrous and brilliant hell! And if this book was transferred to English, I would complete this annotation with the phrase: “Welcome to hello!”
