The Brotherhood of the New Phivaid on the Holy Mount Athos publishes the manuscript of Hieromonk Simon Bezkrovny (monk of Simeon Athos) under the name "Birds of Heaven or the Wandering of the Soul in the arms of God", which are diary notes of past years. The first part of the book tells of the amazing history of the life of the author himself, about the difficult ways of finding God in different periods of the life of our country and the formation in monastic life under the leadership of the outstanding old man and confessor Archimandrite Kirill (Pavlova) This narrative serves as a spiritual rod of a difficult process of the transformation of the soul - the beginning of a prayer life and gaining grace.
The second part of the book really shows the formation of the soul in Orthodoxy and the acquisition of unceasing prayer, as well as, with a sincere trust in the reader, it is told about a meeting with a new fertile life in Christ, with its difficulties, mistakes, failures and acquisitions. The manuscripts in all possible fullness reveal to us the innermost communication with the old man and with great warmth reveal to us his wise and holy appearance. In addition, together with the author, we meet with other spiritual fathers and ascetics, whose advice and support helped him in difficult moments of his hard life
