Gerhard Terestegen (1697-1769)-German mystic, poet, pietist, in his life and work most fully and has matured the original Western-cerebral ascetic tradition. Until recently, the name of Terestegen was completely unknown in Russia, and only in 2018, for the first time in Russian, his main work of the Truth was released in Russian. "Selected letters" continue to introduce the interested reader to the writings of Terestegen.
