Rev. Mark ascetic (V. B) is one of the greatest Egyptian deserts. The circumstances of his life remain hidden for us in many ways, but the Monk Mark left the precious testimony of spiritual feat - his ascetic creations.
The teachings of the Monk Mark of the ascetic are diverse in genre and content: these are conversations with the brotherly, and the answers to the questions asked by the philosopher, and the lengthy teachings, and the penetrating interpretation of individual biblical verses, which the Rev. Mark always makes in touch with ascetic work. The creations of St. Mark affect complex theological issues and at the same time testify to the deep knowledge of the human soul, understanding its slightest movements. The wise instructions of the Monk Mark the ascetic entered "kindness", for centuries did not imprison their significance as a reliable spiritual leadership for the monks and laity.
