The unknown story of Andrei Bely"s unhappy love in Natasha Turgenev, his wife’s sister, is reconstructed according to letters from 1913-1917, discovered in Dornah (Switzerland)-in the Goetheanum Archive (DokUMentation Am Goetheanum-Archiv), in the Foundation of N. A. Turgeneva. The afterword to this plot is the lengthy message of White to M. Ya. Sivers (Steiner) of January 13, 1916 with a detailed explanation of his views on the problem of "love from freedom" and a detailed analysis of relations with Asya and Natasha (stored in Dornna, in the archive in the archive "Heritage of R. Steiner" - Rudolf Steiner Nachlassverwaltung) The first part of the book is dedicated to Roman in letters. Further letters of other correspondents of N. A. Turgeneva 1916-1917 are published (A. A. Turgeneva, E.K. Metner, M.V. Sabashnikova), also associated with white relations of love, friendship or enmity. The writer directly or indirectly is one of the heroes of this block of epistolary materials from the Getaanum archive.
The publication is equipped with a scientific commentary and unique illustrations provided by the memorial apartment of Andrei Bely (branch of the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin), the Archive of Getaanum, the State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova in the Fountain House and the State Darwin Museum.
