Islam, the third great monotheistic religion, along with Judaism and Christianity, is an extremely significant historical and cultural phenomenon originated on the Arab Peninsula, at the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad, and spread to the vast territories of the planet. This book describes the chronology of Islamic civilization, starting with its origin, primarily with the story of the Bedouin society, which was the cradle of Islam and left the legacy of the still noticeable and recognizable, typical features of the tribal social structure. Abbasid caliphs were enlightened rulers who contributed to the unification in the Ummah, or the Islamic community, heterogeneous ethnic groups of their vast empire.
In 1258, the arrival of the Mongols of the capital Baghdad marked the sunset of the Abbasid caliphate, which by that time was already weakened by the rise of independent caliphates and sultanates who crushed the power and power of the empire.
