The Christian church holy honors the great saints of God, famous for the exploits of a virtuous and chaste life. Many of them received a special grace from God to be a petition for us in those mournful circumstances and bodily ailments in which they themselves underwent suffering during their earthly life. Thus, a believer, turning in prayer to the saint, receives from God, by prayer and intercession of the saint, the fulfillment of his petition, if there is a divine will.
Turning to the saints for help, we believe that their prayer is pleasing to God, that their quick representation and intercession will strengthen and instruct us on the way to Christ.
