Every year, the second week after the Pentecost and the next after a week of all saints, when in the churches we hear the gospel reading from the Gospel of Matthew about the calling of Christ his first disciples, on Athos the memory of all the reverend fathers on the Holy Mount of the Samilogys was performed. Svyatogorsk saints perceived this divine calling and reached the height of virtuous life. According to the book of the scientist Moses, Hagiorita, the number of holy fathers of the Holy Mountain is up to 450, while there are several thousand unknown and hidden holy ascetics who sanctified the land of Athos, which caused the name of his Holy Mountain. The general holiday to the whole Svyatogorsk saint was established after the creation of a liturgical followed in the 19th century by a prolific writer and a spirit -bearing Svyatogorsk ascetic - the Monk Nicodemus Svyatogorets. It is to him that we owe the compilation of service and troparia to all Svyatogorsky saints. Starting from the ascetic St. Peter and founder of Athos monasticism St. Afanasy of Athos, as the greatest elders, on the Holy Mount there are several species and forms of holy residence, which they lived like angels, as the troparians of the Svyatogorsk residents tell us about this. The greatest gift and the introduction of Svyatogorsk fathers is the protection of Orthodox dogmas in all Orthodox countries, as well as the protection of the spiritual heritage of Orthodoxy.
