In the akathist “Shield of the Russian land” a number of akathists are given - prayer appeals to the Mother of God, Archangel Mikhail and the chosen saints for our Fatherland - the Russian land, so that the Lord, His Most Holy Mother and all the saints, by our faith, preserve our people from the invasion of foreign enemies, deadly, deadly Diseases, natural disasters and fratricide, whether the spirit of fraternity and the world has approved in our Fatherland in order to become all of us and forever to abide, saints, their affairs glorifying the Father of our heavenly.
