The book of Acts is the second part of the historical work of the Apostle Luke, whose theological purpose was to indicate the divine ways of the history of salvation. The evangelist poses the story of Jesus Christ in a new perspective. He does not make it an excerpt of the past, equivalent to other historical episodes. On the contrary, he wants to show that the History of Jesus does not close in himself, but has his continuation in the future, up to our time. Its continuation of the bow shows in the history of the apostles and the church. The addressees of his book are primarily Christians from the Gentiles. In it, as in the Gospel, Luke seeks to acquire the followers of Jesus Christ and the members of His Church, arouse sympathy for good news, contribute to its greater understanding. Languages should make sure that their faith is rooted in the very first days of the Church, guaranteed by great authorities and passed to them, pagans, according to God"s plan, from the Jews. This new generation, which no longer feels the connection with Judaism and does not belong to the generation of the founders of the Church, is proclaimed the historical justification of their faith.
