The collection is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Prize of Metropolitan Macarius, based on archival sources of the St. Petersburg branch of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The publication contains a historical outline of the development of one of the most prestigious academic awards, established in 1867, and a selection of documents characterizing the work of the Academy of Sciences for the Selection, Review and Evaluation of Works that have received a competition at the Academy every two years since 1884 in the form of annexing in the form of an application The award award (1885-1919) and an annotated index of the winners of the competitions are published.
The publication is designed for historians of science, as well as a wide range of researchers interested in the history of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
