The present work for the first time in the history of the Russian (and on the day-world) Arabicism offers the reconstruction of the philosophical and religious system of the last prominent figure of the Baghdad school of mutasilism of Abu Al-Kasim al-Balhi al-Kabi (d. 319/931) In the book, in addition to the comparative analysis of the views of al-Balchi and his predecessors, an attempt is made to present, if possible, a holistic picture of the disputes of the mutacallims of Basra and Baghdad on the most important issues of ethics, politics, ontology and epistemology. The publication will be useful to both Arabists, philosophers and religious scholars, and all those interested in the history of Middle Eastern and World thought
