Peter Simonovich Kazan (1819-1878)-doctor of theology, historian, professor of the Moscow Theological Academy, known for his outstanding works on church and civil history, as well as spiritual and educational works intended for folk reading.
Many works of P. S. Kazan were published anonymously. The result of the cooperation of Kazan as an anonymous author and spiritual writer Nikolai Vasilyevich Elagin (1817-1891) as an editor and publisher was the publication of a number of books under the name Elagin.
The book is clearly and simply on the basis of the Holy Scriptures and the creations of the Holy Fathers of the Church about what the gift of the grace of God is the gift of a person, thanks to which everything is good in our spiritual life, how and to whom it is served, what is its action in man , as well as what the need to promote grace on the part of a person consists.
The book is designed for a wide range of readers.
