Saint Innokenty, Archbishop of Kherson and Tauride (in the world Ivan Alekseevich Borisov) was born on December 15, 1800 in the city of Yelets of the Oryol province.
Already the first significant work of the Earthly Life of Jesus Christ made his name known in Russia. Another area of the program of influence on the souls of people was his preaching activity. Subsequently, Vladyka Innocent will be called "Russian Chinese". As a preacher, he was distinguished by the fact that he acted mainly on the hearts of the listeners and fascinated them with clarity and a simple word, thin and witty rapprocheces of objects, the art of discovering new and entertaining sides in them and the ability to accept his teachings as close to various occasions and circumstances.
