Archimandrite Kiprian (Kern, 1899–1960) is one of the bright and mysterious figures of Russian church abroad. Professor of the Sergievsky Theological Institute, the spiritual father of many figures of Russian emigration, a bright teacher and author of works on liturgics and theology (among them - a fundamental study on the holy of Gregory Palamas), to contemporaries of Fr. Kiprian was remembered primarily by a deeply Orthodox person, a monk by spiritual vocation, a talented and brightly thinking researcher, an open European culture. All adult life about. Cyprian was held in exile: he ended up in Serbia twenty, became a witness and a participant in the events related to the formation of the ROCZ, was a sign, was friends and maintained relations with many representatives of the Russian and European church world. The value of the memories of about. Cyprian is undeniable. It is not yet known in what volume they exist: the Russian reader can be familiar with his notes about the bishops - Anthony (Khrapovitsky) and Gabriel (Chepur) - they were published in 2002. In 2013, his Jerusalem Diary came out in Jerusalem. Memories of childhood, the beginning of life in Serbia, teaching at the seminary in Bito-le, about colleagues and friends of those years were recently found, published for the first time and represent undoubted historical value
