The composition of St. Meliton of the Sardian “About Easter” is the liturgical poem of the early Christian era, created by approx. 160-164 In this hymn, which was read after Parimium from the book of the outcome, the Old Testament history is typologically revealed as the prototype of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. The full text of the poem was opened only in 1940. In 1993, the anthem was first translated into Russian by Hieromonk Hilarion (Alfeev) This edition presents a revised and supplemented by the illustrations of the translation editorial office. The frescoes of Roman catacombs were used as illustrations. The publication is addressed to the widest circle of readers
