The Publishing House of the Spiritual Transfiguration published a book into which the compilers collected some chosen statements of St. Tikhon Zadonsky. This saint, who lived in the eighteenth century, was one of the most outstanding people of his time - he was a theologian and preacher, enlightener and miracle worker. St. Tikhon had a striking gift of word. He could briefly, but simply and capaciously say about very important things. In this book "ABC of Spiritual Comfort", the compilers made a small selection of such brief quotes of the saint and divided them into two sections. The first of them, the "alphabet of comfort", will help readers not fall into the sin of despondency, and the second, "alphabet of repentance" will help protect themselves from the opposite sin of pride. Following the spiritual teachings of St. Tikhon Zadonsky, we will get a chance to follow the path of a spiritual increase to the gates of the Kingdom of God.
