The book consists of fascinating and instructive stories, fairy tales and parables told by an venerable old man, nun Porphyria, during conversations with close children, the nuns of one female monastery.
The basis of these stories was the memories of the life and teachings of Schimonakhini Vitaly (Mishchenko), with whom the nun Porfria was in close spiritual communication for many years. Mother Olga (in the schema of Vitaly), in his youth, with her husband, having left the world, followed the Glinsky elders who moved to the Caucasus after the closure of the Glinsky desert during cruel persecution by the authorities in the sixties. She had pious laity and monks who came as pilgrims in her house, or for advice to deserts from all over Russia.
