The third volume of the meeting of the creations of the Monk Istin Cheliysky (Popovich) contains the 3rd and 4th parts of his "dogma of the Orthodox Church": "Soteriology" and "Ecclesiology", including the understanding and presentation of the Monk Istin Popovich of the Orthodox doctrine of salvation and the church.
This volume "dogmatic" Justine is directly based on the patristic tradition, the whole adherence to which becomes the most important feature of his theological methodology. In addition, the very principle of presentation of prep. The Istin of Soteriology and Ecclesiology is largely new and original in comparison with the available courses of Orthodox dogma. The presentation of soteriology here is closely linked to the personality of the God -man of our Lord Jesus Christ and the most important events of His earthly life, and, consequently, with the most important church holidays: His Christmas, Baptism, Transfiguration, Cross of Death, Resurrection and Ascension.
A special place is devoted to the teachings of the God -man of Christ and His work in His earthly life. The salvation of St. Istin is conceived as an imitation of Christ and impossible outside the church. About how the saving and atoning feat committed by Christ is absorbed by the fleeing - members of the Church, is narrated in the 4th part of the "dogma". In its presentation of ecclesiology of St. Istin makes a special emphasis on the mysterious teaching of the Church as the body of Christ and the God -human organism. This teaching becomes the prism through which a new, cosmic, prospect of vision of the Church as “all-fiction” and “all-targets” of the whole world opens. This fresh look of our holy contemporary, which, however, is not a step away from the biblical and patristic teaching, allows Rev. Istin even enrich the dry-academic language of the scientific theology with orginal terms and formulations. Such a new terminology, as well as an exalted style, bring to his presentation of dogmatics prayer-hymnographic tonality, when the lips of the Church’s fathers (including the St. Justine Popovich) Theology of the Church about the Church becomes a prayer and a songword in the Church about the Church.
