The collection of wise sayings "Bee" was very popular in Byzantium and in ancient Russia. It contains quotes from the Holy Scriptures, the Church Fathers and Church Writers (up to the 7th century inclusive), ancient pre-Christian authors (well-known historical figures of antiquity, poets, philosophers, historians) or instructive fragments from unknown. their biographies. The sayings were collected in thematic chapters (71 chapter) on a variety of worldviews and even everyday topics, and the work, thus, is a brief moral-to-iniacial "encyclopedia" that does not lose its relevance to this day.
