The book is devoted to one of the most acute problems of psychological science and practice - the problem of relations between them. The authors analyze various aspects of these relationships - both cognitive, associated with psychological knowledge and social, rooted in a state of psychological community. Various positions are put forward and defended in relation to the influence of the prevailing relationship between research (academic) and practical psychology on the development of each of them. The book consists of two parts. The first discusses the general cognitive and social problems of the relationship of two sections of psychology, in the second - their interaction in the specific areas of psychological knowledge and social practice
