Ivan Pavlov was an outstanding scientist, a pride of Russian science, and the creator of the science of higher nervous activity. Everything we know about the brain today is the result of the colossal efforts of Academician I. P. Pavlov. He received the Nobel Prize and was elected an honorary member of one hundred and thirty academies and scientific societies. In the spring of 1924, at the Military Medical Academy, Ivan Pavlov delivered a series of lectures on the topic 'On the Work of the Large Hemispheres of the Brain,' where he described the main nervous processes, explained the concept of reflex, shed light on phenomena such as dreams, hypnosis, and sleep disorders - the results of 25 years of his research. The scientific legacy of Ivan Pavlov has shaped the face of modern physiology and several related fields - biology and medicine, psychology, and pedagogy.
