The book includes a variety of works by academician Pavlov, including those that were strictly prohibited for ideological reasons not only during the lifetime of the great scientist, but also until the fall of the USSR. "The reflex of freedom," he wrote, "is one of the most important innate reflexes. Without it, any slightest obstacle encountered by an animal on its path would completely interrupt the flow of its life. And we know well how all animals, deprived of their usual freedom, strive to liberate themselves." And people, as is known, are rational, but still animals.
