The monograph of Finnish Theater, Doctors Philosophy Liisa Bukling (Liisa Byckling) is the result of many years of work. The book includes articles of different years dedicated to the literature and theater in the Great Principality and the Republic of Finland, their relationship with Russia. Chekhov in Finland, Russian classical and new playwright in the Finnish stage, touring the Finnish theater in St. Petersburg, as well as the history of the Russian State Cowatory Theater in Helsingfors (Helsinki) Among the heroes and the heroines of the book - director Eino Kalima, the creator of Chekhov tradition in the National Theater, Professor Yakov Grotto, the future famous academician, leading the dramatic actress Ida Alaberg, Finnish critics, artists and artists, Russian actors, entrepreneurs and opera singers. In Finland, they found admirers and friends of famous theatrical figures K.S. Stanislavsky and N.N. Ereinov, writers Maxim Gorky and Leonid Andreev.
