For more than three quarters of a century, we have been separating us from the terrible days of 1941, when the fate of the peoples of the Soviet Union was decided. That war was not accidentally called "domestic" - it was precisely about the preservation of the Fatherland as such. The oil industry was actually one of the basic industries that determined the defense capability of the country as a whole. The Second World War became the war of the engines. Oil was really the blood of war, because the lack of fuel influenced the situation at the front at least, and possibly more than a lack of ammunition or weapons. Historically, it was historically that the main oil producing area of the USSR during the war became the Apheron Peninsula in Azerbaijan. The outcome of the front -line operations of the Red Army depended on the reliability and efficiency of the oil industry. That is why we chose the history of the Azerbaijani oil industry by the subject of our study. The oil workers of Azerbaijan did not climb bayonet attacks, did not go to the ram, but on their work in unbearably difficult conditions it depended on whether guns and shells would fall into the front, whether there would be fuel for tanks and aircraft. Apsheron workers had his own - "oil" - front. This book is dedicated to them
