Contains information on the structure of energy supply in railway transport, taking into account its division into traction and non-traction components. Methodological foundations for establishing normative values of resource consumption are outlined, and methodologies for their standardization for practical application are provided. Examples of calculating normative values in all areas of expenditure are shown: electrical energy for non-traction needs, boiler fuel for boiler rooms and technological installations, heat for stationary consumers, including resources for heating, ventilation, hot water supply, normative losses in networks and various heat technologies, main types of motor fuel used in both road transport and specialized equipment operation, water consumption and wastewater discharge volumes in linear structural units.
