The story “In the valleys of the Ringaac”, better known as “Red Fox”, was written for a long time, in 1905, but in Russian appears for the first time. Its author, an outstanding Canadian writer and naturalist Charles Roberts (1860–1934), received world recognition thanks to his stories from the life of nature. His works were repeatedly printed in the Soviet Union, a native of East Canada, Charles Roberts passionately loved and knew his land well. The animals and birds of the deaf Canadian forests became the heroes of his stories and stories. The life of animals in the books of Roberts is closely intertwined with the life of nature as a whole. In the novel “In the Ringaac Vallers,” the reader will get acquainted not only with the biography of the fox, not only recognizes many habits and characteristics of the fox tribe.
