Innokenty Fedorovich Annensky (1855-1909), the famous Russian poet of the Silver Age, the author of the cult collection of poems "Cypress Casket" (1910), still remains "incorrect", the author of the book believes. His contemporaries condescendingly looked at the ancient culture, which was very compromised in their eyes with a gymnasium course of studying "dead" languages - Latin and Greek. And for Innocent Fedorovich, Antiquity was the native home and the world in which he actually existed. The poet managed to renounce, soar and look at Russian reality from the cosmos. This epic look allowed him to see a fundamentally different picture, different from the narrow -party views of the Russian intelligentsia of the post -reform era. The existing person was not governed by socio-economic laws and was not obeyed by statistical laws. The existing one was controlled by ancient rock and obeyed him. Innocent Annensky was the first poet of the Silver Age to see the future and felt all the tragedy of the upcoming: very soon the "heavy and red claws" will be, not knowing pity, it is pointless and fiercely tormenting him still unusual contemporaries.
