The book contains the latest data on Russia during the time of the last emperor, Nicholas II - facts, figures, photographs. The factual indicators are presented in comparison with other eras - from the 19th century to the present day. Transport and communication, industry, agriculture, education, and the standard of living of the population are shown in a historical perspective. Against the backdrop of a range of data spanning more than a century, the records of the Empire are particularly vivid and clear. The negative consequences of the revolution are also vividly visible.
