1820s. Already the famous young English poet George Gordon Byron live in his homeland lives in Italy with his beloved and writes one of his best poems - "Don Juan". But the work does not bring facilitations to the poet rolling soul, devoid of violent activities and high goals. And when the English Committee, created to help the rebels, offers Bayron to go to Greece, the poet with joy agrees. It invests his own funds in the preparation of the expedition and again full of energy. However, it turns out that the uprising is poorly prepared, and Bayron makes desperate efforts to combine fragmented groups of rebels. In January 1824, he ills, but nevertheless, he accepts the command of the Greek-Albanian squad, although he was not destined to live to victory
