The content of the textbook is aimed at developing functional literacy and communicative competence in students. Education, upbringing, and development are based on a dialogue of cultures, respect for the multinational, multicultural, and multi-confessional composition of Russia.
The system of questions and tasks contributes to the formation of speech communication skills and the development of creative abilities in younger students. Texts of classical and contemporary literature, folklore works of different nations are presented in the system for perception and understanding of cultural and historical heritage, as well as for the development of a love for reading.
Special sections of the textbook ('We go to the library', 'Family reading', 'Independent reading', 'Our theater') will allow children to learn to work independently and in a team.
