Reader's literacy. Collection of model tasks. Issue 1. Part 1

The manual is designed for the development and assessment of reading literacy, which is part of functional literacy and is studied in the international comparative study PISA. It is recommended for use in educational purposes by teachers in lessons and extracurricular activities, as well as by school administration for organizing in-school monitoring of the functional literacy of students aged 10-12. The structure of the manual: The manual includes an address to the student, explaining the nature and purpose of the tasks offered. The manual describes general approaches to assessing reading literacy and provides measurement materials. The first part of the manual provides an example of a learning task (a block of tasks, work based on the text) with annotated answers and explanations of the main approaches to assessing task performance for students aged 10-12. In the second part of the manual, tasks for independent work by students are offered, along with answers to the tasks formulated as a basis for self-assessment. What this manual will teach: - Understand how a text is structured, how the author constructs their reasoning, and what goals they pursue. - Evaluate the quality of information and draw their own conclusions. - Navigate the structure of texts of different types and formats. - Apply the information obtained in solving a wide range of life tasks.
