The collective monograph is dedicated to the always relevant issue. "The Reader in Search" continues the series of publications on reading and the reader (the first one being "The Reader in the City" (2017). The subject matter of the book, as implied by its title, is related to the search for the reader, the search for the book, the author, the plot, the hero - everything that helps one "find oneself". The reader is considered as the main subject of the reading infrastructure in the pages of the book, which is why a separate section of the book is dedicated to reading spaces, both real and virtual.
Overall, the subject matter of the collective monograph is related to reading and other sociocultural practices that stimulate interaction with books or are the result of such interaction. This primarily concerns the lists of "from peers" that are included in the final section of the book.
The book is addressed to a wide range of readers, but primarily to teachers, librarians, museum and theater workers, educators in additional education, and organizers of children's programs.
