In the manual for practical doctors, the side effects of anti-epileptic drugs, classification and general patterns of the development of side effects are considered in detail. The side effects of anticonvulsant therapy are described depending on the effects of drugs on the system of organs. Separately, the influence of therapy on the nervous system and the highest mental sphere in patients with epilepsy is considered. Particular attention is paid to the problems of epilepsy aggregation and pharmacinduced phenomena on the electroencephalogram. Recommendations aimed at improving the tolerability of anti-epileptic therapy are given - methods for preventing the occurrence of side effects and their correction are considered.
